Quotations with margin, jobs under the same number
Moviqo's quotations are built from the vendor section you select, with buy, sell and margin on every line. When the customer accepts, Moviqo opens the job under the RFQ number and keeps its milestones, containers, references and costs until the cargo is delivered.
Quotation
How do you build a freight quotation from vendor pricing?
Choose the vendor section and a margin %, and Moviqo drafts the quotation: the vendor's charge lines come across as buy, and sell is buy plus your margin. It is numbered from the RFQ, for example MMIPL26100-Q1, and moves the RFQ to Quoted.
- Lines with leg, charge, description, basis, quantity and unit
- Buy rate and currency next to sell rate and currency, with FX, tax % and SAC code
- Lines that can be marked optional
- Live totals: buy, sell, margin and margin %
- Subject, validity, transit time, routing, inclusions, exclusions, terms and notes
- A validity that can never run past the vendor section's valid-till date
Margin
How is margin calculated on a freight quote?
Moviqo works margin as a markup on buy: margin % = (sell − buy) ÷ buy × 100. Each line keeps its own currency, so a USD ocean freight and INR local charges can sit on the same quotation.

What does the customer see?
A branded A4 PDF of the sell side only. Buy rates and margin never appear on it. Mark the quotation sent, accepted or declined; accepted moves the RFQ to Won.
How do quotation revisions work?
When a customer counters, revise: Moviqo copies the quotation as a new version under the same quote number and marks the earlier one superseded, so every offer stays on the RFQ.
Job
What happens when the customer accepts?
Open the job from the won RFQ. The job number is the RFQ number, MMIPL26100 (a second job on the same RFQ is MMIPL26100-J2), and the route, cargo and parties are copied across.

Milestones
Seeded from a template by direction and mode: sea export, sea import, air export, air import, domestic road and project. Tick a milestone and the actual time is recorded; mark it done, skipped or delayed.

References
Shipper, consignee, notify party, carrier and CHA; vessel and voyage or flight; booking number, MBL and HBL or MAWB and HAWB; ETD, ETA, ATD and ATA; shipping bill or bill of entry number and date.

Containers and costs
Container rows, and cost and revenue lines with vendor, amount, currency, FX and the INR value. The job's P&L, revenue minus cost, is always in view.

Completion
When the cargo is delivered, complete the job. The RFQ moves to Completed once all its jobs are done, and the margin per job report picks it up.
Follow-up
How do follow-ups stay on time?
Tasks works out the next step from your records: send a draft quotation, follow a sent one up after 3 days, open the job for a won RFQ within a day, and act on a job milestone planned within 24 hours or running late. Each one drops off as soon as the work moves on.

Quotations and jobs: common questions
Does the quotation PDF show my buy rates?
No. The customer PDF shows the sell side only; buy rates and margin stay inside Moviqo.
What is the quotation number format?
The RFQ number plus Q and a serial: MMIPL26100-Q1, MMIPL26100-Q2. A revision keeps the number and raises the version.
Can one RFQ have more than one job?
Yes. The first job takes the RFQ number itself; the next ones on the same RFQ are numbered -J2, -J3 and so on.
Can job costs be recorded in a foreign currency?
Yes. Each cost or revenue line carries its currency, an FX rate and the INR value, and the margin per job report works in INR.
Does Moviqo raise the customer invoice?
Not today. Moviqo records invoice numbers on the job and shows the job's profit from its cost lines; invoices and GST filing stay in your accounting software.
