Claude and Moviqo AI: what is the difference?

Claude is a general AI assistant from Anthropic that you connect to Moviqo: it reads and changes records for you, as you. Moviqo AI is part of Moviqo itself: it turns text and files into drafts and answers questions, but never saves anything on its own. Neither sees more than the user's role and workspaces allow.

Claude reaches Moviqo through the Model Context Protocol, from Claude's web, desktop and phone apps or from Claude Code. It calls the same services the app uses, so the checks a person meets apply to Claude too.

Moviqo AI, inside the forms

Moviqo AI works where you already type: the Register RFQ form, the Add rate sheet grid and vendor routes. Its model runs on Moviqo's own server, so no outside AI account is needed and the text and files you give it are processed there.

  • Every field it fills stays editable until a person saves
  • Questions about RFQs, rates and vendors are answered read-only
  • PDF with a text layer, Excel .xlsx, CSV, text and .eml files

Up to five files of 10 MB at a time; scanned PDFs and images are not read.

What can Claude do inside Moviqo?

Claude works through Moviqo's own services, so the same checks apply as in the app: duplicate RFQs are refused, rate sheets need their validity, and deletes stay admin-only. Ask it to:

  • find RFQs, customers, vendors, rates and ports, and read a whole RFQ before replying
  • register an RFQ from a customer's mail and prepare the acknowledgement
  • check the active rate sheets for a lane and list the vendors to float the RFQ to
  • open vendor sections, give you the rate request text and record each vendor's pricing
  • store a rate sheet with all its lines, its validity and the original file
  • draft and adjust a quotation from the selected vendor section
  • open a job on a won RFQ, update its milestones and add cost lines
  • attach mail attachments and files to the right record
  • list, create and complete tasks
  • read vehicles, drivers, trips and rentals (read-only)
  • draft and schedule social posts, which wait for approval

Set-up

How do you connect Claude to Moviqo?

  1. Add Moviqo as a connector in Claude. On Claude's web, desktop or phone apps, add Moviqo as a custom connector. Claude Code can connect with a token an admin creates.
  2. Sign in with your own Moviqo account. Moviqo asks whether to allow the connection; choose Allow or Deny. Claude then works with your role.
  3. Work in the chat. "Register the RFQ in this mail and prepare the acknowledgement." Each change Claude makes is recorded as Claude.
  4. Revoke any time. Admins see every connection under Settings → Claude connector and can revoke it.

What stops Claude from doing too much?

    Your role, never more

    Claude acts as the person who connected it, with that person's role and workspaces. Admin-only actions are refused for everyone else.

    Every change recorded

    Each change is written to the audit trail and shows as "Claude" in the activity feed and on the dashboard.

    No mail from the connector

    Moviqo's connector cannot send email. Claude is instructed to ask for your go-ahead before it sends one from your own mail tools.

    Social posts wait

    Social posts drafted by Claude go to an admin's review by default; Claude is instructed to ask before replying to a comment.

    Revocable at any time

    Admins can see and revoke every connection. A connection runs on its own token, never on a shared password.

    Where the data goes

    When you ask Claude to act, the data for that request is processed by Anthropic outside India, under your Anthropic account terms. If nobody connects Claude, no Moviqo data goes to Anthropic.

What does Moviqo AI do?

Moviqo AI runs an open-source language model on Moviqo's own server. Give it text or files and it drafts the record for you:

  • An enquiry mail, WhatsApp text or .eml file becomes a filled Register RFQ form
  • A rate sheet as PDF, Excel or CSV becomes the Add rate sheet grid, with the vendor matched by name or code
  • A carrier's sailing schedule becomes vendor routes, one per POL to POD, with transit worked out from ETD and ETA
  • Questions about your RFQs, rates and vendors are answered from your records, with your access, without changing anything

Every field and row is editable, and nothing is stored until a person saves it through the normal form, with the same duplicate and validity checks. Large files are read in part: the first 30 pages of a PDF, and the first 6 sheets and 600 rows per sheet of an Excel file; old .xls files need saving as .xlsx first.

Claude and Moviqo AI: common questions

What is MCP?

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is an open standard that lets an AI assistant such as Claude use the tools of another application. Moviqo's MCP connector gives Claude Moviqo's tools, run with the signed-in user's role.

Can Claude see more than I can in Moviqo?

No. Claude works with your own role and workspaces, so it can never see or do more than you can.

Can Claude send emails to customers on its own?

Not through Moviqo: its connector cannot send mail, and Claude is instructed to show you the message and wait for your go-ahead before sending from your own mail.

Does Moviqo AI send my data to an outside AI service?

No. Moviqo AI runs on Moviqo's own server, and the text and files you give it are processed there. Mega Move India does not use your data to train AI models.

Does Moviqo work with ChatGPT or Gemini?

No. Moviqo's connector accepts sign-ins from Claude only; Moviqo AI, the built-in assistant, needs no outside AI account at all.
